– In the horizontal orientation for ALL lower gate supports, EXCEPT in places where your horizontal wall space is only a few inches (such as the bottom of a narrow door frame). This will allow you to position the gate as close to the floor as possible.- In the vertical orientation for UPPER gate supports in a narrow door frame.
